Seafood first and second courses

The seafood cuisine of Ristorante Pizzeria Torino.Otranto was born out of a desire to bring simple flavours to the table that smell of the Mediterranean.

All courses, from starters to seafood starters and main courses, are distinguished by the choice of the freshest and highest quality products, the result of a careful selection.

At the beginning, we start with great classics, such as mussels alla tarantina or alla marinara and steamed octopus with potatoes and cherry tomatoes, tender and tasty. Always in the sign of classicism, we then proceed with traditional seafood first courses, ranging from risotto alla pescatora to more elegant dishes with a touch of reinterpretation, such as sea bass ravioli with gilthead bream ragout and paccheri with king prawns, homemade pistachio pesto and burrata cheese. From the irresistible frittura to the classic baked sea bream with cherry tomatoes, potatoes and olives - with a table-cleaning service - the genuine flavours of tradition triumph in the seafood main courses.

First courses and meat main courses

The land menu presents traditional, tasty and homemade cuisine, with an ever-present touch of care and originality, both in the preparations and in the service. The menu investigates authentic Piedmontese flavours, with a few forays outside the region. The meal can begin with taste, thanks to inviting sgabei to accompany mixed cold meats and various cheeses, or with a homage to the region, with classics of Piedmontese gastronomy, such as peppers with bagna cauda (warm oil, garlic and anchovy based dipping sauce) and vitello tonnato (veal in tuna sauce).

When it comes to taste and texture, the first courses do not disappoint either, from ravioli with Bolognese ragù to creamy strozzapreti with gorgonzola and ‘nduja cream, to fettuccine with porcini mushrooms. There is a wide choice of meat main courses, from simple chicken escalopes to the fine Angus steak, served in a scenic manner on hot cast iron. Noteworthy dishes include the Vallespluga cockerel, accompanied by crispy Chips, and the timeless Fiorentina, a refined cut that no meat connoisseur can resist.

Finally, the little ones will certainly not be disappointed, because the tasty chicken nuggets with fries are designed just for them, as well as for the sweet-toothed grown-ups who crave something appetising and tantalising.

Pizza with 72-hour rising time

The Ristorante Pizzeria Torino.Otranto, at 33 Via Piave in Pianezza, also specialises in the preparation of pizzas, which are distinguished by their lightness and high digestibility. The secret lies in the 72-hour double leavening.

In fact, the slow leavening process offers numerous advantages, ensuring a lighter dough and better hydration, resulting in a dish that is easy to digest, with a more complex and aromatic flavour, and with a honeycombed crust.

The end result is a healthier and tastier pizza!

Wide choice of doughs

Flour for pizza: our proposals

The pizzas, available both in the classic version and in the “al tegamino” version - smaller and higher - are offered with various types of dough, obtained using different types of pizza flour. This variety makes it possible to satisfy the tastes of all palates, even the most demanding.

Classic dough

Flour, water, yeast and salt. Four simple ingredients skilfully mixed in the right proportions form a dough that, thanks to the slow leavening process, makes for an excellent pizza.

Integral dough

Obtained from a flour richer in fibre, vitamins and minerals, with a darker and coarser appearance and a full-bodied texture, the long-rising wholemeal dough is more interesting due to its more rustic flavour, as well as being more digestible and having a low glycaemic index.

Dough with hemp flour

With its dark colour and rustic flavour with nutty undertones, hemp flour dough is lighter, digestible and nutritious. It also offers a good supply of protein, fibre, Omega-3, Omega-6, vitamins and minerals.

Wine List

Wine list | Junic Winery

Junic Winery

To taste each dish at its best, we offer a wine list with selected bottles from Andrea and Stefano Tacconi's Cantina Junic. Quality wines from the famous Roero, in Piedmont, one of the most famous Italian regions in the world for the quality and diversity of its wines.

From the bunches of vines that make up a dense network on the hillsides, aromatic wines of varying degrees of intensity are produced. The optimal climatic conditions, far from the fog and late spring coolness, and the composition of the soil that is particularly suitable and hospitable for the development of these crops, favour the growth and development of fruit from which wines with authentic flavours and elegant aromaticity are produced in the whites, such as Arneis and Moscato, and with a strong character in the reds, such as Barbera and Nebbiolo.

Characterised by intense aromas, certified quality and excellent pairing possibilities, these wines are perfect to accompany every course of a gourmet menu, and designed to enhance flavours and sensations, from traditional Italian cuisine to more innovative proposals.

One of the best doughs I have ever eaten, a fabulous pizza to which I would have added just a pinch of salt, to my taste.
Congratulations to all for both the pizza and the kindness

We were with the family in this neglected local restaurant overflowing with tables, it amazes me that we have not set up even on the cash table, after about 25 minutes the waiters realized that they wanted to order 4 pizzas, (local not full), bring the beer that will become herbal tea because the wait for the pizza was about an hour, you do not understand if the leavening of 72 hours begins when the customer enters!pizza in the standard good but nothing excellent, at the time of payment the cashier apologizes awkwardly of the wait blaming a table of about 10 people (normal in any restaurant), cmq moral nightmare restaurant, to avoid as the PESTE!!!! in this way we are all able to do the restaurateurs!!!!

We went there for dinner with our children. We ordered as soon as we were seated and asked politely not to wait too long as the children were hungry. After 45 minutes they kept saying the pizzas were coming out of the oven, they arrived after 10 minutes burnt! I understand that it was a bit crowded but don't make fun of people, don't take more orders than you can manage, like today maybe the place is full before long it could be empty if you keep treating people like that.
At the time of payment not even an apology and I even had to ask for the receipt.

Pizza restaurant with friendly staff, Despite the presence of many people we were served quickly.
You can eat both meat and fish, we had fried fish and breaded anchovies. They do both pan-fried and traditional pizza, and they do home delivery.

Cosy, bright restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. Tried both the pizza and the cuisine. The pizza has a crispy dough on the outside and soft and well dimpled inside, slightly over cooked, well seasoned with good quality ingredients. The paccheri with pistachio burrata and prawns were superbly seasoned with also a good amount of prawns and a fresh and tasty burrata. Service smiling and well present at the table but not intrusive. Overall good, to come back for more.
